In the past several months, SHH has delivered 56 produce coolers to 27 agencies throughout the network. The coolers were provided by Hill Phoenix which donated their time, labor and parts to refurbish the coolers. Another organization called Custom Innovation, a refrigeration broker, made the connection between SHH and the donor. SHH was pleased to be able to offer the option of these coolers to the network to help partners expand and improve their produce offerings.

Pictured above above are volunteers, staff, board members and University of WI Extension partners who work with Pierce County Food Pantry. They were really excited to be able to provide more fresh fruit and vegetables to families with the additional cooler received from Hill Phoenix and Custom Innovation. In August, the food shelf served 377 individuals from 179 households.
