Please Take Note

  • Can we beat our Attendance Record once again this Sunday? We've been beating it the last 3 weeks in a row! Thanks be to you for your dedication and to God for all of the many blessings in our community. It's not about numbers, but it sure does sound nice when we sing together!
  • Don't miss a special Forum on Faith this week studying Islam with a special guest, Umm Zakiyyah. Read more below.
  • Professional Photo Directory pictures will be taken in the Windsor Room this Sunday from 10-10:30am and from 11:30-noon. If you cannot be here Sunday, please email the office a current photo.
  • This Sunday at the 10:30 am service, we will welcome Annabelle Catherine Clewell into the household of God. Please joins us in this celebration of Baptism.

  • Parking Reminder Our building is getting a great deal of use these days. This is good news! But please be patient with our parking situation. At least we have a lot! If you know someone's car and that they are going to be there for a while, please block them in. If you know you must leave, take a spot on the side of the building next door or park up against the church building. Please do not park in State Farm spaces or the lot by the playground during the workday.

Pastoral Note

We extend our deepest sympathy to the Gentry family. Mary Edith Shallenberger Gentry, Mrs. Gentry or Diddie, died last Saturday at her Broadmead home. We will celebrate her life on October 6 at 11:00 am in the church. Mrs. Gentry was the founder of the Cedarcroft School in 1947! Read her obituary here.

Dancing in Hart Hall

The Baltimore Folk Music Society is one of our new partners and they are doing amazing things here! Every Monday night from 8:00pm-10:00pm Hart Hall comes alive with dancers and musicians. For those of you who may not be familiar with English Country Dancing, it’s a wonderful style of partner dancing - but you don’t have to arrive with a partner. It is joyous, lively movement to elegant music in a friendly, informal setting. The figures are simple, and each dance is taught and walked through. New dancers are always welcome. There’s a caller, helping everyone know which step comes next and what direction to head, the three musicians play English Country Dance tunes.

The Baltimore Folk Music Society also presents American Square and Contra Dancing on the 2nd Saturday of the month running from 8:00 'till 11:00 pm. All information is on their website www.bfms.org.
