Introducing New Artists in Residence

October - December

Andrew Smith
Smith’s paintings are essentially about colour. The Welsh heritage at Sauerbier House and the newly experienced landscapes of Port Noarlunga are linked with research undertaken at his home territory in Wales, to provide Smith with exciting contexts for visual responses to the biographical notion of Place, defined as ‘scapes’. Smith is supported by Wales Arts International.

Buskers Wanted for Ramsay Place

Spring is finally upon us and it’s time to kick-start busking in Ramsay Place, again.
The busking initiative which entails a waiver on busking fees and insurance cover for uninsured buskers, which means that buskers can get out there and do what they love, at no additional expense to them. The only thing they need to do to get the ball rolling is to complete a couple of forms.

Please note:
  • Council will waive/ sponsor permit fees and has purchased additional public liability insurance cover for buskers endorsed by the Activate Ramsay Place program.
  • Once their details are processed, they will be issued with a permit valid for 6 months
  • Their permit will allow them to busk any day Monday to Sunday between 9am and 6pm. However, to avoid clashing with other buskers and to ensure a smooth transition between acts and a good experience for all, we recommend they talk to each other. Currently there is a facebook page utilised by some of the buskers on the program: Buskers of Onkaparinga.
Please contact Wilson.Ndungu@onkaparinga.sa.gov.au for more information and the forms.
