Welcome Autumn!

The first official day of Autumn has finally arrived and I am ready for some cooler weather and can't wait to wear all of the new sweaters that seem to be flying off my needles lately!  It is a great time of year to fall back into routines and also take stock of stash, as we know it won't be long and we'll be settling in for a long winter ahead.  Let's not think of winter just yet though, as it has just turned autumn!  Fall festivals are on the horizon and we have a number of them that are in our area.

Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival is just around the corner, next weekend in fact, and some of the Must Love Yarn crew will be there on Sunday, be sure to say "hi" if you see us!  The festival is Saturday September 29th and Sunday September 30th this year.  Follow the link above, it will take you to the festival homepage and you can get all the details there!

The New York State Sheep and Wool Festival is the third weekend in October and we are once again running a luxury motor coach from Premier Buses down to the festival for our customers and friends!  This is a fun day trip in which you can knit, shop, socialize and relax with friends new and old as we whisk you away to The Festival of fiber festivals!  Check out the link below if you are interested in registering for our bus, it is filling fast so don't delay!  Some of the crew from Must Love Yarn will also be attending this festival, so be sure to say hi and you can also catch up with Angela and Kelly at the Podcaster Meetup which happens at 1pm on "the hill" Saturday afternoon.

Many of our yarns for fall have arrived and we are working on new shop samples to showcase the beautiful new yarns.  So if you haven't been in the shop in a while, be sure to pop in and see what's new!  We've also had some staffing changes, we're delighted to welcome Andrea on board full-time to the Must Love Yarn crew and we are happy to have Pam joining us part-time as well.  Our dear friend Carol has moved on from the shop and has exciting adventures in her future, but don't worry, we know she'll be stopping by for frequent visits!

We've had a number of people asking about fall classes, we're rolling out an informal series of class sessions called SSK: Saturday Sessions with Kelly.  These will be semi-private group lessons that will focus on getting you back on track with your knitting projects that you are struggling with, or learning a new technique to take on a new project, or getting started with basic knitting or crochet skills and lots more!  Follow the link for more information and to register for a session.  We will also be rolling out more classes towards late fall, so keep an eye on your email and the website for those additions.

Did you know that Must Love Yarn is hosting our very first knitting retreat?  We are and it is filling up fast, so if you are interested be sure to see all of the details below!  The Unwind Retreat with Must Love Yarn will be February 28 - March 3 in Burlington, VT.

We hope that you all have a wonderful autumn and can't wait to catch up with you at the upcoming festivals and events as well as in the shop!

Happy Knitting!
Kelly
