He's Not Backing Down
Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh isn't backing down in the face of allegations of sexual assault and misconduct by two women. He told Fox News's Martha MacCallum last night that he's never sexually assaulted anyone.

In a letter sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday, Kavanaugh called the allegations "smears" and said that these unsubstantiated character assassinations will do our country more harm than good.
"These are smears, pure and simple. And they debase our public discourse. But they are also a threat to any man or woman who wishes to serve our country. Such grotesque and obvious character assassination—if allowed to succeed—will dissuade competent and good people of all political persuasions from service."

Meanwhile, creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti is over here running a clown show. And Republican Senators still are not getting it -- if they don't confirm Kavanaugh before November, their majorities in both the House and Senate are dunzo. Someone needs to get this message through Jeff Flake's head: your actions have consequences -- consequences that could easily devastate your party for generations.

Why The #MeToo Movement Is Imploding In Real Time
On Sunday night, The New Yorker's Ronan Farrow published an account of a former classmate of Kavanaugh's during their time at Yale University who says she vaguely remembers an incident in which the federal judge exposed himself to her at a drunken party. But the thing is, she only remembers bits and pieces of the incident herself -- memories she shared only after talking to her attorney for six days.

Farrow's reporting is flawedThe New York Times's own account of his piece points out the fact that he did not include accounts from any other eyewitnesses. They tried to track down secondary sources who could confirm the story, but came up short and decided not to pursue it further. Which casts doubt on Farrow's other work and the #MeToo movement as a whole.

I Love Netflix's 'Bojack Horsemen,' But. . .
The most recent season was ultimately disappointing. The show's creators found out Harvey Weinstein was a fan and decided to pack the show full of #MeToo lessons instead of develop the characters fans of the show have come to know and love. You can read my full review here

Kim Kardashian's Makeup Artist's Secret To Treating Acne
My little acne trick is Neosporin. It makes zits disappear and helps with scarring too. But Kim K's makeup artist swears by Tea Tree Oil, which I have not tried yet, but am going to next time my face breaks out. Do you have any skincare secrets? Pass them along to me! I have open DMs on Twitter.
