Greetings Dear Friends and Apostles of Love,
I trust you have
Entered In to a sweet and joyful New Year 5779! We are so blessed to be given this time of preparation from our Lord at the head of the year "Rosh HaShanah" and the invitation to
draw nearer to Him in such a special way. If you have never heard before of the
10 Days of Awe, the 10 days between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), I invite you to click on the link and read the post to gain insight on this truly holy time of year. The Day of Atonement falls on September 18th this year, so there is still time to enter in to the blessings of these 10 Days of Awe.
It may surprise some of you to hear how the first "formal" form of reconciliation between God and man was actually instituted by the feast of Yom Kippur in Leviticus. It is referred to as "The Sabbath of Sabbaths." You can read more about this high holy day here "
Yom Kippur - a Call to Unity" and the practices associated with the early Hebrew traditions that you will find
are quite similar to some of the traditions many Christians hold today! It is
truly one of the most beautiful feasts of the Hebrew tradition, especially when Christians realize how it came to its fullness in what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Remember to RSVP and JOIN US Friday, September 21st at 6pm for our Shabbat Potluck Service and at 7pm for our Head of the Year 420 Prophetic Encounter. If you've never heard the Shabbat blessings or encountered the Hebrew language and its prophetic symbolism, you must come and taste and see!
Be sure to Catch Up on our blog posts from this week listed below, including a new series on the Physics of Heaven - the Science of Grace!
Our admonishment of the ancient Hebrew blessings and traditions is in no way meant to imply that we as Christians
must follow them in order to attain our salvation, however, it is my hope and my heart, that in recognizing the beautiful work of our Heavenly Father in instituting them with his beloved people, Christians today can
enter into the fullness of what Christ actually offered us by his sacrifice. He came to
fulfill what the Father had begun in Genesis. Such revelation of the Father's love can greatly enhance our Christian walk and lead us into an even greater understanding of our Jewish Messiah.
For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. - Matthew 5:18
I pray as you continue to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in your walk of faith that you will become illumined by the light of His holy grace and find yourself immersed in the fullness of His blessings over you. Be sealed, in Jesus name. G'mar tov!
Until the Day Dawns,
Kim
