Neil and Rachelle's Update

Greetings,
Thank you all for welcoming us back to the States. We’re thankful for the chances we’ve had to see many of you again. You all have been a huge encouragement to us as we’ve been readjusting to life here and sharing about our time in Tanzania. It’s great to hear how you’ve been keeping up with us through reading these updates and  connected with us through prayer. There’s no doubt we’ve been in this together, we are continually being amazed by the body of Christ, here at home as well as in Tanzania. We’re looking forward even more to the day when we’ll all be together with our Leader, Jesus Christ.
Here is a quick update on our return status to Tanzania.  We are planning to return in January to begin forming a team as we prepare to move into one of the villages we surveyed. Our goal is to teach and translate the Bible into their local language, so of course moving into the village would be a huge step closer to that goal. As many of you know, however, we’re having some issues renewing our visa, which we need to live in the country. These same issues are affecting others in our mission as well, and even other missions. We’ve made an appeal, but we haven’t received word yet as to whether or not its been granted. Please pray that God would give us favor, and that if its his will the appeal would be granted. Pray also for the Tanzanian church , we’re not sure what God is doing in all this, but we know he is growing them as well.
In the meantime, we are living in Moscow, Idaho, and are enjoying being with our sending church. We’ve been taking care of some medical things, we’ve started homeschooling, and we’ve been able to spend some good time together as a family. Neil will be speaking at a missions conference in South Dakota in October, and we’ll be visiting some friends and family in Oregon in November.
We are currently 9,716 miles from Tanzania.
We drove 8,400 miles throughout the Midwest during the months of June and July.
Praise God for safety during these travels.
Praise God for providing us with a reliable vehicle for us to travel in.
Praise God for the Body of Christ, and the friendship we have through Him.
Pray for our visas
Pray for Tanzanians who still use their local languages to have access to the Word of God.
Pray for the Tanzanian church to continue to grow as a whole.
Pray for us to be sensitive to the Lord’s guidance over the next couple of months.
Blessings!
