Sadly, we did not have enough dancers for the demo at Hilton Villa Care Centre and it had to be cancelled. Hopefully, they will reschedule for another date.
New events added to the list are a dance demo at Kinsmen Lodge, and our annual general meeting, both happening in November. See below for details.
Roberto Bagnoli, master folk dance teacher, will be here for the last week of September. Take advantage! See events below.
Extra events are optional and are listed here for your information. If a couple of hours of dancing once a week on Thursdays is as much as you want or can manage, that is fine!
- Dance workshop with Roberto Bagnoli on Tuesday September 25, 7-10pm at Charles Rummel Centre, 3630 Lozells Ave, Burnaby. Admission $5.
- Dance workshop with Roberto Bagnoli on Thursday September 27, 7-10pm. Admission $10, or $5 for members of SIFD.
- Interested in learning or improving your folk dance teaching skills? Roberto Bagnoli will be leading a weekend workshop on teaching folk dancing at 16479 92A Ave, Surrey, on the weekend of Sept 28 to 30. $160 for the weekend. More info and register here.
- Oktoberfest Dance demonstration at Peace Portal Seniors Village, 15441 16th Avenue, Surrey, on Friday, October 5, 2:30-3:30pm. Please arrive at 1pm. We will go dressed in German costumes, and include a few German dances for the occasion. There will be some participation by the seniors. Let me know if you are available.
- Dance demonstration at Kinsmen Place Lodge, 9650 137A Street, Surrey, on Saturday, November 17, 2-3pm. Please arrive at 12:30pm. Let me know if you are available.
- SIFD Annual General Meeting, Monday, November 19, at 7pm, at Dale's house.
