Dear "Rain Gauge" Teachers,

Thanks to everyone who participated in Rain Gauge Week.  Even though today is the last day of our campaign, you don't have to stop here!  If you've been tracking for one week, why not continue building a record of precipitation data at your school?  If you get into the normal habit of it, your data will soon become available in a massive climate database used by researchers all over the world - called the Global Historical Climatology Network!  In fact, once you have submitted 100 reports, your data will become part of this permanent database.  Some of you are already there!

How to Submit a Multi-Day Report:

It's Multi-Day Monday!  Remember, the normal data entry page is a 24-hour report.  After weekends or holidays, please fill out a multi-day report.

Click here to go straight to the "Multi-Day Report page"Or, from the main data entry page, look to the left hand panel under 'Enter My New Reports' and click on "Multi-Day Report".

If you participated last week, and submitted data on Friday, then Saturday, 09/15/2018 will be the "first day of accumulation period', and then today, 09/17/2018 will be entered as the "date the gauge was emptied".  Fill in the amount you found in your gauge this morning and click on submit...and you are done!

Quick Tip!

Bookmark your Data Entry Page (and before you log in, click the 'remember me' button.)
