This week, in our sermon series from John's Gospel, we're looking at the first 4 of Jesus' disciples. They heard about Jesus, investigated those claims, and, when they found they were true, told others about him. It's a simple story, and incredibly relevant. It's the same process each of us, who are Christians, have been on, and, like them, the result should be the same. When we understand who Jesus truly is we're compelled to share that amazing news.
But, we can't do that alone, we need God's help, so please come to the prayer meeting tomorrow (Monday 17th September) 7.45pm for 8pm start, hosted by William & Alex Moore. Also, we need each others help, we need the help of the church, to give us opportunities to talk to people about Jesus. We also want to help each other to be increasingly like Jesus in all areas of our lives. One way to help us do that is through events like our upcoming marriage course. All of us who are married need to work hard at them, to keep thinking about how we can be a better spouse. So, I want to encourage all of us who are married to make every effort to come along on the first 3 Tuesdays in October to our "Laugh your way to a better marriage" course we're running in conjunction with the Eton churches. It is a funny course, but much more importantly it is immensely perceptive about the challenges within marriages and how we can better understand each other. Please do let me know you're coming via the RSVP button below.
This is also a brilliant course to invite your non-church married friends too. We want to serve our community and one way to do that is to help marriages flourish. The course is entirely accessible and helpful to all, Christian or not.
