Well, the next adventure has begun, and I still have a bunch of trip reports to catch up on.
Noumea
This is my first trip to New Caledonia - and it didn't get off to a great start as you will see. We are here now, and enjoying the resort at Le Meridien and the French Polynesian culture. Not enjoying the French prices so much.

This is a faded property. It is attractive because it has all the facilities of a chain 5-star hotel, including pool, gym, signature restaurant, and 24-hour room service, not to mention the ability to acquire points, and take advantage other aspects of the IHG loyalty scheme. On the other hand, its rooms and decor are no longer competitive.
Check your passport validity dates Well, Friday was an interesting day. We arrived at Sydney Airport to catch our 12:35 pm Air Calin flight to Noumea, only to discover that one of our party had an expired passport.
