SAVE THE DATE - 2019 General Assembly on April 2nd in Brussels

We are pleased to announce that the 2019 General Assembly will be hosted by the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels, Belgium on the 2nd of April, 2019. The GA will be combined with two other exciting events before and after - so keep your eyes peeled for more news soon! 

Calls
The 11th International Symposium on Digital Earth "Digital Earth in a transformed society" has opened its call for special sessions, until September 30th, 2018. Possible topics include, Citizen Science, Open Data and Open Sciences, From Data to Knowledge, and many more...
Applications for COST Action funding to attend the  Citizen Science Training School on the 26th of November in Erice, Italy will close on September 30, 2018.

Applications for COST Action funding to attend the Vespucci Training School on Digital Transformations in Citizen Science and Social Innovation on the 21st to 25th of November in Florence Italy will close on October 31, 2018.
The Citizen Science Association has extended the deadline for submitting Individual Talks and Poster abstracts until October 5th, 2018. 
The Falling Walls Engage conference for all forms of science engagement has opened its call for project submissions, which will be accepted until November 7th, 2018.
The 2019 Living Planet Symposium, organised by the ESA, invites the Citizen Science community to submit abstracts for the session “Novel in-situ collection approaches for agricultural EO applications (D2.08)”  by November 7th, 2018 There is a € 25 fee to submit an abstract, and the registration is then only €50 (€25 for students) for the whole week. 
Job Openings
Research & Evaluation Manager
Earthwatch is recruiting for an experienced Research and Evaluation Manager to manage business case analysis for citizen science and sensor development, with an initial focus on the potential integration of these in water monitoring and nature-based solutions. Applications will be accepted until October 14th, 2018.
PhD/Postdoc position
The Citizen Science Group of the Data Science Institute at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Jena, Germany is looking for a researcher on the topic of "Development of innovative formats of participation for Citizen Science".  Applications will be accepted until October 31st, 2018.
