Neue Mitarbeiter
Ab Mitte Oktober dürfen wir zwei neue Mitarbeiter begrüßen: Frau Jessica Prelle wird als "Head of Sports" für die strategische Entwicklung und Steuerung des DISD Schulsports im Vormittags- und Nachmittagsbereichs tätig sein. Unterstützt wird Sie dabei von Herr James Dodd als Sportkoordinator, Trainer und Berater.

New Staff
Mid of October we will welcome two new staff members: Mrs Jessica Prelle, "Head of Sports", will be responsible for the strategic development and coordination of the school sport in the morning and afternoon. She will be supported by Mr James Dodd as a sport coordinator, trainer and counselor.

AGs
Das Nachmittagsprogramm beginnt am 30.09.2018. Ihre Kinder können auch in diesem Jahr aus einem vielfältigen Nachmittagsprogramm bestehend aus Sport-, Musik- und Kreativ-AGs sowie Förderprogrammen wählen.
After - school activities
Our after-school-activities will start on September 30th. The students can choose from a large variety of activities, like sports, music and creative activities.

Instrumentalunterricht
Interessierte Eltern und Schüler ab Klasse 3 sind herzlich willkommen, sich bei Herrn Kho anzumelden um Instrumental-unterricht zu belegen. Darüber hinaus stehen auch musikalische Ensembles (Band, Chor, Orchester, usw.) für alte und neue Schüler gleichermaßen zur Verfügung. Ein neues und spannendes Ensemble wird von Frau Dahm geleitet: ein Violin-Ensemble, das für Schüler (Klassen 3 bis 6), die die Violine schon mindestens ein Jahr gelernt haben, geeignet ist.

Instrumental lessons
New students interested in instrumental lessons or their respective parents are encouraged to contact Mr. Kho to sign up. In addition to the lessons, there are also various ensembles (Band, Choir, Orchestra, etc.) for old and new students alike. A new and exciting ensemble called the Violin-Ensemble, led by Ms. Dahm, will be offered to students from Year 3 to Year 6, who have had at least one year of violin lessons.

School Band

Drama & Musical
Lust auf ein bisschen Theater und viel Spaß? In der „Drama und Musical AG“ könnt Ihr Eure schauspielerischen Talente testen. Jeden Donnerstag, für Schüler der Klassen 7 bis 10. Hier geht's zur Anmeldung. Für mehr Infos hier klicken.

Überarbeitung der Schulordnung
Die Anlage 1 der Schulordnung “Bewertung und Zensierung” wurde überarbeitet. Der Bewertungsmaßstab für die Grundschule wurde angepasst. Das aktuelle Dokument finden Sie hier.
Revision of the school regulation
The appendix 1 “assessing and grading” of the school regulations has been revised. The assessment benchmarks for the primary school has been adjusted. Please find the updated document here.

Elterncafé
Wir laden herzlich zum zweiten Elterncafé am Dienstag, 02.10. von 8 - 9 Uhr in der Kantine ein. Für diesen Morgen, hat die Arabisch-Abteilung einen Vortrag für alle Eltern vorbereitet, um das Arabisch- Curriculum und ihre Arbeit vorzustellen und Fragen zu beantworten. Dieses Elterncafe wird von Cakes by Heidi gesponsert, es gibt leckeren Kuchen zum Probieren. Außerdem steht deutsches Brot vom Brothaus zum Kauf.

Parent Café
We cordially invite all parents to our second parents café on Tuesday, October 2nd from 8 to 9 in the canteen. The Arabic department will inform parents about the Arabic curriculum and their work at DISD. The parent cafe is supported by Cakes by Heidi, there will be pastry to try and German bread by Brothaus will be sold.

Lesekidz im Kindergarten
Wir freuen uns, am 21.10 die Online-Buchhandlung Lesekidz im Kindergarten begrüßen zu dürfen. Sie werden dort einen der beliebten Lesekoffer übergeben. Aus diesem Anlass wird Lesekidz auch einen Bücherverkaufstisch im Foyer des Kindergartens aufbauen.

Erste Hilfe Kurs
Reminder: Wir freuen uns, Ihnen die kostenfreie Teilnahme an einem Workshop zum Thema Erste Hilfe und Schutz der Familie anzubieten. Kurssprache wird Englisch sein. Der Workshop findet am Mittwoch, den 26. September am Morgen, von 8.30 – 10.30 Uhr statt. Teilnahme ist nur für Mitglieder der Schulgemeinschaft. Bitte melden Sie sich bei events@germanschool.ae an.

First Aid Workshop
We are happy to offer you a First Aid and Family Safeguarding workshop free of charge. It will be held in English. The workshop will take place on Wednesday, September 26th from 8.30 – 10.30 am. Dubai Fitness Challenge
Die Dubai Fitness Challenge findet dieses Mal zum zweiten Jahr, vom 19.10 - 17.11. statt.
Auch wir als Schule wollen unsere Schüler, Mitarbeiter und Eltern motivieren, jeden Tag mindesten 30 Minuten Sport zu treiben.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge takes place from October 19th - November 17th. We as a school also want to motivate our students, staff and parents to engage in 30 minutes of physical activity daily. We will inform you about the details soon.

Neuwahl der Kiga-Elternvertreter
Im Kindergarten wurden bereits die Elternvertreter für das neue Schuljahr gewählt. Den Vorsitz des Kindergarten-Elternbeirats hat Frau Tanja Cerkezovic (Muschelgruppe). Es gibt in diesem Jahr zwei Stellvertreter: Frau Dana Roufail (Krabbengruppe) und Herr Jan Wenger (Seelöwengruppe). Die neuen Gesamtelternvertreter von der Grundschule und der Sekundarstufe wurden noch nicht gewählt. Mehr Informationen zum Elternbeirat finden Sie hier.
New election of the kiga Parents’ Representatives
In the kindergarten the Parents’ Representatives for the new academic have been elected. The chairwoman of the kindergarten’s parents’ council is Mrs Tanja Cerkezovic. There are two deputies for this year: Mrs Dana Roufail (Krabbengruppe) and Mr Jan Wenger (Seelöwengruppe). The elections for the overall Parents’ Representatives of primary and secondary school have not yet taken place. You will find more information about the Parents’ Council here.

International Day - HEUTE!
Heute findet der erste, von Eltern organisierte, International Day an der DISD statt. Mehr als 25 verschiedenen Nationalitäten präsentieren sich an insgesamt 20 Ständen. Es gibt viele Informationen, Spiele, musikalische Beiträge und natürlich jede Menge landestypisches Essen. Alle Schüler, Eltern und Mitarbeiter sind herzlich willkommen. Der International Day geht von 13:30 bis 16:00 Uhr. Wir freuen uns auf viele Teilnehmer.

International Day - TODAY!
Today the first International Day, organized by parents, will take place at DISD more than 25 different nationalities are presenting themselves at 20 stands. There will be lots of information, games, musical contributions and plenty of traditional food. All students, parents and staff are welcome. The International Day runs from 1.30 until 4 pm. We are looking forward to many participants. |

Vom 22.09 - 31.10. gibt es jeden Abend gute Stimmung bei bayrischer Musik und leckeres Essen.
