Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 3:13-14

EVENTS
Spirit Week - Next week is Spirit Week! All students (K-12) are invited to participate in fun dress-up themes that help build excitement, unity, and spirit around our homecoming festivities! The dress-up themes are as follows:
- Monday – Woke up like this (pajama day)
- Tuesday – Take it back (dress like your favorite decade)
- Wednesday – Character/Meme
- Thursday – SPIRIT – Go Big Blue!
- Friday - Dress Your Best for Grandparent's Day!
Grandparent’s Day - Friday, September 28 is quickly approaching and we have all the information to prepare you for a special and exciting day with Grandparents here at school!
- Volunteers - we are looking for volunteers to help serve in a number of areas including set-up, check-in, greeting and serving lunch. Volunteers are just one of the many reasons this day is special for our Grandparents and we appreciate you taking time to help us! Please use this link to see what opportunities are available.
- Drop Off Instructions - Parents, please use extra caution in our parking lot on Grandparents’ Day (Friday, September 28). We will have hundreds of visitors parking and walking to our building that morning during the same time you will be dropping off your students at the school. Please take extra time to drive slowly and look twice! If possible, please consider carpooling with another family to help reduce traffic in the parking lot.
- Students and Staff - No parking will be permitted in the school parking lot on Grandparents’ and Friends’ Day, except for visitors. Please park your vehicle at Faith Bible Church, 6201 S. 84th Street. There will be vans shuttling students, teachers, and staff to/from school in the morning from 7:15 - 7:50 AM and again at 1 PM after dismissal. You may either ride the shuttle or enjoy the short walk to school.
- Bag Chairs and Blankets - We are anticipating a large turnout for our Homecoming Football Game vs. Lincoln Lutheran next Friday afternoon. The game begins at 3:30 PM and Homecoming royalty will be announced at halftime. If you have bag chairs and blankets, would you consider bringing those so we can make extra seating for grandparents and friends that will be attending? Thank you!
Fall Festival - This long-awaited event is just ONE week from tomorrow, on Saturday, September 29, from 9 AM - 12 PM, and we need your help! This is such a fun event to volunteer for and such a great way to connect with, and serve, our LCS family! As you open this link to sign up, please take note of the tabs across the top. We still need volunteers for waffles, set-up, pumpkins, and tear-down. We're looking forward to another amazing gathering for the LCS family on what is predicted to be a beautiful fall day. Bring the whole family and grandparents too! There will be entertainment for all ages.
Tailgate Time - Come out and cheer on the Crusaders then take some time to fellowship with friends on Friday, October 5! The Booster Club is hosting a Tailgate in the amphitheater immediately following the football game (which begins that afternoon at 3 PM). We will be serving pulled pork sandwiches, chips, homemade dessert, and drink for a suggested donation of $6. See you there!
