Library News
October 2018

We have so many activities happening here at the library this month. It should be a lot of fun. Click on any of the flyers in this newsletter, check social media, our website, or at the library for more information. There are several dates we will be closed this month. You are able to renew items online through your account. The 24 hour book drop is available. And do not forget that ebooks, audiobooks, movies, and music are available 24/7 through hoopladigital.

Monday, October 8th for Columbus Day
Saturday, October 13th for the Lansing Fall Festival
Saturday, October 27 for Spooky Center

Be sure to stop by our tent at the Fall Festival to say "hi". We will have crafts, pumpkin decorating, and treats.

Love creating stories, imagining "what would happen if"? We have a creative short story writing contest going on. We have had some mischief happening here in the library - books falling of the shelves and chairs moving around with no one in the library. We want to hear what you think is causing this commotion in the library at night. There will be cash prizes awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each age category. The overall grand prize winner will have an excerpt from their story published in the Leavenworth Times. Stories are due by October 15th. Details can be found here.

See you at the library!
