Bolts of Blue Campaign Update

The final countdown has arrived!  We are extremely thankful to our Lutz Preparatory community for your amazingly generous donations to our campaign so far.

Today is the last day of our campaign and as of this morning we have raised $119,153.74 of our $125,000 goal.

Homeroom Classes Who Met the $1800 and/or 100% Participation Goal
We are in awe - we are less than 10 classrooms short of our participation goal!  Several of our classrooms who have not met the goal are within a few hundred dollars of reaching $1800 or are just a few students short of meeting 100% participation (minimum donation to be considered for HR participation is $50) by each student.  Thank you we could not have done this without your support!

All homerooms who reach their goals will receive prizes.

PTA Updates
Grandparent Breakfast
Important Information:  Due to increase school safety procedures and the large number of attendees at our wonderful grandparents breakfast the event and the attendees will be restricted to the gymnasium.  Entry and exit to the breakfast will be through the back entrance of the gymnasium only and attendees will not be able to access the main lobby, hallways, student classrooms, or any other area of the school.  Grandparents will bid farewell to their grandchildren in the gymnasium at the end of the event so the student may proceed to class by 8:00 AM for morning announcements and the start of the normal school day.

Unless you have notified us via your RSVP that your guest needs additional assistance or a handicap parking space reserved for them, all breakfast attendees must park in the FIELD ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE MAIN BUILDING and follow the sidewalks to the BACK ENTRANCE of the gymnasium.  There will be staff outside guiding our guests to the correct gym entrance.  Guests attending the event WILL NOT be using the front lobby entrance or exit, as it will be used solely for students entering our campus for the school day.

Click HERE to RSVP by Friday, October 5th, 2018.

Box Top Campaign
Our Annual Box Tops drive is underway!  Please start clipping and collecting Box Tops.  This year each classroom has a collection goal of 1,800 Box Tops!  Classroom collections will be tallied monthly and for the classes that achieve their monthly goals they will be rewarded!  Stay tuned for more exciting contest details in the coming weeks!

You can find Box Tops on thousands of your favorite products, visit this LINK for a complete list of products -- then just clip, count, and send them in!  Over the past few years these little cardboard pieces have earned over $11,000 for our school!

Please follow these simple steps to help make our collection drive run smoothly:
  1. Neatly cut and sort your Box Tops and place into baggies or print a fun collection sheet from HERE and adhere the Box Tops.
  2. Place your child's name and homeroom teacher's name on the baggie or collection sheet so that he/she receives credit.
  3. Baggies can be dropped off in the collection mailbox in the front lobby or with your homeroom teacher.

***Don’t forget to download the Bonus Box Tops app to earn even more Box Tops digitally!***
Box Tops for Education has rolled out a new app for your Smartphone or Apple device. It allows our school to earn BONUS Box Tops for items you already buy with the on-package Box Tops.  Check the app often as the offers change weekly!

It only takes a few minutes to download the app and create an account which allows you to automatically add bonus Box Tops to our school with just a picture of your receipt.  Screen shot or forward the email you receive from the Box Tops Bonus App showing the Receipt ID and the amounts earned and then email to LutzPrepBoxTops@aol.com along with your child’s homeroom teachers name so that they can receive Box Tops credit for their class!

Bonus Box Tops = more money for our school!  Thank you for helping out Lutz Prep!!
If you have any questions, please contact Natacha Sanderson or Nicole Trailer at LutzPrepBoxTops@aol.com

By working in teams, participants learn teamwork, the appreciation and understanding of others, and that a group is a more powerful thinking force than an individual. They develop a sense of self-respect and respect for others through preparatory activities such as brainstorming and role playing.
