Fall is my favorite time of year. It gets cooler and I can open my windows to get fresh air in the house. New seasons of my favorite TV shows begin. The end of the racing season is in sight.
But fall is not always easy. The shift in the season also triggers other changes in us and around us. For many, the diminishing daylight hours brings a change in mood. The changing of leaves, the seeming death of plants, and the cooler air reminds us of the ever changing nature of life and that we too will find ourselves in new seasons.
Even as the seasons of our lives change, the love of God will never change. Jesus was and is and will forever be. Jesus is The Table. Jesus is The Rescuer. Jesus is the Neighbor. Jesus is The Word.

But we forget sometimes. We forget that Jesus is unchanging in the ever changing nature of life. This October, I hope you will join with me as we dig deeper into our faith, as we hold fast to the One who is unchanging, as we are reminded anew of the power of Christ.
