Haunted Trail Adventure
Haunted Trail Adventure, 4-7 p.m. on October 13
Let your Halloween run wild at the Haunted Trail Adventure! Experience Bear Creek Lake Park in all its haunted magic with an evening of ghostly trails and tales. After your hike along the Owl Trail, play games or warm your toes by the fire at the amphitheater and enjoy marshmallows and hot chocolate.

See creepy crawlies from the Butterfly Pavilion and interact with everyone's favorite dinosaur skeleton, Mr. Bones. Visit the pumpkin patch with proceeds benefiting Friends of Paha, supporting Lakewood's summer programs for youth and young adults with disabilities. Mac Shack and Waffle Cakes food trucks will have food available for purchase. Costumes encouraged!

Cider Days
Cider Days this Weekend
The 43rd annual Cider Days festival on October 6 and 7 celebrates Lakewood's agricultural heritage with an entertaining mix of performances, activities and tasty harvest treats. 

Join in the fun at the Lakewood Heritage Center, 801 S. Yarrow St. Tickets are $5 to $8 and include  entertainment and kids amusements. Hard Cider Tasting tickets are $30 in advance ($38 day of) to enjoy more than 50 varieties of hard cider.

Guided hikes with a Park Naturalist
Join us for one of our upcoming nature hikes, where participants of all ages are welcome to meander along a winding trail and learn about the flora, fauna and history of the area from a park naturalist.

Upcoming dates:
Oct. 6 - 10-11:30 a.m.
Nov. 3 - 10-11:30 a.m.

Locations vary and are decided closer to the date. Bring your water and sunscreen. Registration required: $5.

Decorate your own pumpkin!
Children ages 3-5 are invited to join us for Pumpkin Playtime, our next Bear Cubs program on Oct. 11. Participants will explore their natural environment through stories, songs and interactive programs.

Register for $5 and meet at the Bear Creek Lake Park Visitor Center from 10-11 a.m.
