RHF Releases New Guide and Website to Provide Strategies and Tools for Right-Sizing Congregate Care and Complying with the Family First Act

We’re pleased to release our latest publication “How Three New York Counties are Right-Sizing Congregate Care and Prioritizing Family-Based Care,”  which details how Onondaga, Dutchess, and Westchester counties are achieving meaningful results, quickly.

This new guide complements the online clearinghouse FamilyFirstNY.org – also launching today - to provide local districts with information, strategies and tools to utilize as the state and counties prepare for implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act.

With the release of this new guide and website, RHF is announcing our foundation’s expanding commitment to collaborate with state, county and national partners in support of efforts across NY to develop and scale strategies to reduce congregate care placements and expedite permanency.  Already, we have provided grant funding, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing with several counties and provider agencies; and now, we intend to expand that support across the state.

Please be sure to visit FamilyFirstNY.org to learn more about the Act and these county success stories, and to access tools and resources for implementation. You can also sign up to receive updates on when new tools become available, make suggestions for additional information and resources, and request funding and technical assistance.
