Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance
*Patron Recommendation*

Orphaned, raised by wolves, Merlin, Weylyn Grey knew he wasn’t like other people. But when he single-handedly stopped that tornado on a stormy Christmas day in Oklahoma, he realized just how different he actually was.

That tornado was the first of many strange events that seem to follow Weylyn from town to town.   As amazing as these powers may appear, they tend to manifest themselves at inopportune times and places.  Weylyn’s unique abilities are a curiosity at best and at worst, a danger to himself and the woman he loves.

Into the Storm

In late September 2015, Hurricane Joaquin swept past the Bahamas and swallowed a pair of cargo vessels in its destructive path: El Faro, a 790-foot American behemoth with a crew of thirty-three, and the Minouche, a 230-foot freighter with a dozen sailors aboard. Tristram Korten weaves a remarkable tale of two veteran sea captains from very different worlds, the harrowing ordeals of their desperate crews, and the Coast Guard's extraordinary battle against a storm that defied prediction.
