FAMI-Alberta has a new display, which made its first appearance at the Sept 15 Breaking the Silence Mental Health Walk and Run.
Thanks to Lucille Belzil, who put together the information board and braved the cold temperatures to spread the word about FAMI.

Interested in helping improve services? Here's a couple of ways:
Have you been diagnosed with depression and had no success with treatment?
You are not alone.
The Canadian Mental Health Association is seeking information on your lived experience to understand the impact of depression on the lives of Albertans.
Your participation in a focus group centered around depression will help the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Alberta Division gain a greater understanding of the impact depression has on the lives of those living with the disorder. The information and experiences you share will be used to develop resources aimed at supporting Albertans impacted by depression.
Focus groups in Edmonton will be held October 18 and 19; other groups will be held in Red Deer and Calgary. Click here for more information.
The Health Services Organization (HSO) is inviting the public to review their revised Mental Health Services standard, which has been revised and modernized to better reflect current issues. The standard specifies requirements for mental health service providers to deliver quality and safe mental health services to clients and families.
The public review is open until midnight on October 28, 2018.
HSO was formed in February 2017 with the goal of unleashing the power and potential of people around the world who share a passion for achieving quality health services for all. HSO is a registered non-profit headquartered in Ottawa.
