Post-Hurricane Florence

Many of you, your patients, and the communities you serve remain in our thoughts and prayers in the aftermath of the storm. Our region has come together working hard to recover and rebuild homes, businesses, and communities; getting back to our daily lives. Some of you surely have been impacted more severely than others and have experienced profound loss. Our hearts go out to you!

While our SEAHEC Practice Support team was fortunate to have not lost anything significant, we recognize the tremendous need for assistance and support throughout our region, and want to help!

If you haven't already, please reach out and let us know how you are doing.
And if there are opportunities that we can assist you, your team, or practice with in any way, please let us know. In the meantime, here are some useful resources that you can also pass along to your staff and patients.

How to avoid a negative payment adjustment in 2020
To avoid a negative payment adjustment in 2020, you will need a final MIPS score of at least 15 points in the 2018 performance year. Not sure how?
Here are a few ways small practices (i.e., practices with 15 or fewer eligible clinicians) can do this:
Small practices can mix and match the strategies above to achieve the 15 point minimum score. Small practices can also receive up to 5 additional points to their final score for treating complex patient population (calcuated using ratio between the Hierarchical Condition Categories or "HCCs" and the number of dually eligible patients served).

On July 24, 26, and August 2, the Physician Compare support team hosted webinars about “Public Reporting and Physician Compare: What you need to know”. We presented information about public reporting on Physician Compare and what’s in the pipeline for potential inclusion on the website starting in late 2018, including Year 1 Quality Payment Program performance information. The presentation slides, recording, and transcript of this webinar are now available.

If you have questions about Physician Compare or any of the materials shared, contact PhysicianCompare@Westat.com.
