Congratulations to Juliana Maday, a student in the combined Master of Science in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship program, on learning that she will be inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society, in October.

Angela Mahaffey, Ph,D, organized "West Englewood STEM Day," which incorporated anatomy, physiology and environmental sciences into the STEM program, which previously encompassed mainly biology. With the help of the LUC chemistry program and lab space, students performed experiments about diet, drinking water, and more.

The second Humanities Forum of the academic year is "When patients aren't the stories: What narrative can teach us about caring for patients," presented by Tod Chambers, PhD, Associate Professor of Medical Education and Medicine at Northwestern Medicine, on Tuesday, October 23 at noon in Cuneo Center/Stritch 190.
