TASK FORCE FIGHTS INVASIVE PLANTS IN MISSOURI

MISSOURI INVASIVE PLANT TASK FORCE (MoIP)
MoIP (formerly Missouri Invasive Exotic Plant Species Task Force) premiered its vision and organized a tract on invasive species at the Missouri Natural Resources Conference on February 4, 2016. Invasive species cause problems for all facets of land management. The primary goal of this networking and advocacy group is to bolster statewide efforts to identify and control the invasive plant species that severely impact native biodiversity. The task force is housed and administered by Grow Native!, a native plant education and marketing program of the Missouri Prairie Foundation.

To add your name to MoIP's growing community of pledge-takers who vow to stop the spread of invasive plant species, to report invasives, and to find resources and volunteer opportunities, visit http://moinvasives.org/pledge-to-stop-the-spread-of-invasive-plant-species/

Field Trips

TO VARIOUS LOCATIONS AROUND THE MIDWEST

Burroughs field trips are free to Audubon members and the public, and people of any age or level of experience are welcome to participate! Any trip may involve walking on a variety of terrain and surfaces, but some trips will be more strenuous than others. Trip leaders can advise you of the physical activity involved. Since we visit a number of wild areas and habitats, we respectfully ask that your pets not accompany us on the trail. If they're not given to vocal excitement, pets in vehicles are fine.
