Walk to School Wednesday!

Wed Oct 3: walk, bike or scoot to school, and be sure to pick up a special “Georgia Safe Routes to School” pencil, being handed out by a PTA member, at the front of the school. If you park in a satellite location and walk up the hill - that counts!
Invitation: If your Sagamore student would like to create a poster that creatively reflects his/her thinking on walking, biking or scooting for a better life, please drop off artwork, with students name on back, at front office, attention: Beverly, PTA Wellness. Artwork will be proudly added to wall display inside our school for duration of Oct.

Family Portrait Sessions with Ken Rada (our wonderful school photographer) will be held on Saturday October 13 and Sunday the 14th. Each session will be $40 and the entire sitting fee will be donated back to Sagamore Hills! More information to come soon! See his great photography on his website here!

Its Starting to be Coat and Sweater season - a reminder!

Parents - please label your child's coat, sweaters and sweatshirt so we can return them if found! We hate not being able to return things to their owners and so many unclaimed items wind up getting donated because we don't know who they belong to.
Also - don't forget to check the lost and found for any missing items, if there is no tag thats where it goes!

Fifth grade students had a wonderful opportunity a few weeks ago! Kate Leo, Jackson's mom in Ms. Beck's class, works at Cartoon Network. She asked our students to design frames for a Cartoon Network commercial! Each fifth-grade student got to design two or three frames. Here is the link to the commercial:

Congratulations to Cara Gardiner and Mac Vaysman! They are pictured here at the Art Star Hall of Fame recognition ceremony at the Dekalb County Board of Education building. Mac's artwork is the cat displayed up high and Cara's artwork is the bird picture. Their artwork will be displayed for a year. After that time, it will be displayed permanently at Sagamore Hills!
