This month, we will provide important reminders about conference registration, the upcoming National Quarterly Call, changes to who can be added to Facebook and Slack and getting your member profile up on the SSIA's revamped website. We will also highlight one of our Partners, Gravity Payments, and Krissy's visit to Chicago to cover our Member Highlight.

Registration now OPEN!
Registration for the 2019 SSIA Conference in St. Petersburg Florida from February 19th-22nd is now OPEN! We have a great lineup of seminars, revamped Social Star Awards, an exciting SSIA Challenge, and more! Sign up before November 1st to take advantage of the Early Bird Rate for your membership tier. (Please note that all Sponsors and Partners fall under Tier 1 pricing.)
Seminar leaders are still needed, so please contact Chris Giebner at chris@tampabayclubsport.com if you are willing to volunteer to lead a seminar. This year features bonus pay up to $200 for all seminar leaders earning a minimum NPS!

Facebook and Slack Policy Updates
The EC voted to remove the cap from the private Facebook and Slack forums during the EC Retreat in June. To review the new policy, please log into the Locker Room and read over the updated Knowledge Share Guidelines provided in the Membership & Governance section.
If you would like to add staff to Facebook and Slack, please email krissy@ssia.us with the information below. Now's a great time to also remove anyone who is no longer with your organization.

Member Highlight
Krissy headed to Chicago over Labor Day Weekend to catch up with our two clubs there, Players Sport & Social Group and Chicago Sport & Social Club, AND to represent the Social Sports Network at the Chicago Social AVP Tournament.
While visiting with Dave Reid at Players, she had the chance to get a tour of their awesome office (great job with using all of the building's available outdoor real estate to promote the brand, btw), learn more about one of their staple events, The Luau, which is Chicago's largest grass volleyball tournament held at a local golf course each year, and to discuss why being a member of the SSIA continues to make sense for them. His answer was simple: he feels that the sponsorship opportunities they have landed through their connection to the association is getting bigger and better every year.

Later on Friday, Krissy headed over to the Chicago Sport & Social Club's HQ for an office tour, the chance to prepare for the following day's inaugural Chicago Social AVP Volleyball Tournament, and to watch the pros battle it out at the AVP Tournament.
Saturday morning's ugly weather didn't stop Chris Hasting and his team from putting on a great event! Teams from Atlanta Sport & Social Club, Toronto Sport & Social Club, Houston Sports & Social Club, Dallas Sport & Social Club and SportsLink showed up to compete against each other and local Chicago teams. The Social Sports Network dominated, with Marvin Guelce of Atlanta SSC and his team winning the Rec 4's Divison, the Toronto SSC team winning the Rec 6's Division, and the SportsLink team coming in as the Intermediate 4's Runners Up! Congrats!!!
Chris plans to continue growing this event and is hopeful that more clubs from the SSIA attend this tournament next year. Keep your eyes and ears open for more details towards the beginning of 2019 and contact chris@chicagosocial.com with any questions.
