Year 11 Work Experience

Year 11 pupils at Lady Aisha Academy will be undertaking Work Experience for two weeks in the summer, from Monday 24th June 2019 – Friday 5th July 2019. This is so that they have an opportunity to experience what it is like to work in a professional setting, add weight to their CV, and help them to decide their future careers.

Students carry out their Work Experience in Year 11, as doing so in Year 10 would be too difficult due to the amount of curriculum coverage which needs to be done. They do this after their GCSE examinations are finished, so that if they wish to, they can continue to work there after the set two-week period is over. Please return the permission slips to the office which Year 11 pupils were given this week.
New IT facilities

Over the summer we upgraded our Computer Room with new computers and screens for all students!
New Tuition Centre for GCSE

We are very pleased to announce that Lady Aisha Academy will be commencing a Tuition Centre for additional GCSE Maths support on Saturday mornings. The centre will be primarily aimed at Year 10 & Year 11 GCSE Maths students.
We will be opening the Centre after the October half term break (exact date to be announced later) however for now we would just like to know if you would be interested in signing up. The cost will be £5 per hour for LAA pupils and £10 per hour for external students. We are opening the Tuition Centre for all GCSE Maths students, from any school, so please do spread the word and share this with your contacts. Any external parent interested in sending their child should contact the school by phone or email (details below). If there is high interest we would also be willing to cater for other subjects at GCSE level, depending on turnout.
