Our inaugural Fun Run is underway with $2,500 raised toward our goal of $25,000.

How are we using the funds?
Our goal is to bring academic enrichment and learning experiences that benefit EVERY child, EVERY day, in EVERY classroom including outdoor and physical education equipment to service learning projects and STEAM-based curriculum and lessons to library resources and family-friendly events to educationally-enriching assemblies and classroom supplies.

Do all donations need to be turned in to qualify for a prize?
All donations must be turned in by October 10th to qualify for incentives & rewards.
Is My Donation Tax-Deductible?
Ella Baker Elementary PTSA 2.8.28 is a non-profit corporation in the process of applying for 501(c)3 status. It was formed on May 2018, recognized as a non-profit corporation by the State of Washington June 2018, and filed for federal 501(c)3 nonprofit tax exempt status July 2018. 501(c)3 approval is expected by the end of 2018. If approved, donations received since our date of formation would be retro-actively tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
This includes the ability to submit for corporate matching gifts at this time.
Can I submit for a matching gift and does it count for my child's incentive total?
If you clicked that you intend to submit a matching gift under your child's donation page - thank you! This will automatically double your child's total, but as a reminder matching gifts are not included and do not qualify for additional incentives and rewards.
When will I get a tax receipt or get information to submit a matching gift?
We will inform all donors when our non- profit 501(c)3 status changes and provide additional information to submit corporate matching gifts.

PTSA GENERAL MEETING
We hope you can attend our PTSA General Membership Meeting at the school at 6:30 PM. We will start out with a presentation about bear safety from Bear Smart. After that, we will get down to PTSA business, including approving changes to the annual budget, updating our Standing Rules, and forming Financial Review and Nominating Committees. We welcome all members to attend and participate!

FALL FOR BOOKS!!!
Let’s help our school librarian to stuff her shelves by donating our gently used, no longer read books during our October book drive. Books can be dropped off at 10005 Eastridge Dr NE (last house on the right-hand side before the school) There will be a book wagon waiting for your books on the porch!

PTSA ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Enrichment classes are off to a great start! Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteer chaperones! These classes couldn’t happen without you!
We currently have space in Intro to STEM with Lego, Karate, Kid Yoga, Chess4Life, Soccer, and Double Play.

PTSA REFLECTIONS COMPETITION 2018 The Reflections Program is a National PTA cultural arts competition. The Reflections Program is structured for PTAs to recognize students at the local, council, state, and national levels.
The theme for this year is “Heroes Around Me”. Students may submit an entry in one or more of six arts areas. Only original works of art are accepted. The six art areas include: Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Film Production, Dance Choreography, Special Artist.
