4th & 5th Grade Family Pizza Bingo Night - Registration Due Today
Join classmates and their families for a fun evening this Tuesday, October 2, 6:30 - 7:30 pm (Franklin gym). We will have a pizza dinner together followed by a lively game of Bingo. The cost is $10/family. Registration is REQUIRED on webstore by end of day TODAY. Please contact Emily Lobdell with any questions or if you would like to volunteer.

One Week Left to Order 5th Grade T-Shirts!
T-shirts will be ordered on October 5th. To make sure your 5th grade child has the correct size, please be sure to register for the 5th Grade Celebration on the web store ASAP.

Talent Show Forms due this week!
The Ben Franklin Talent show is Friday, October 12 at Hadley Jr. High, starting at 7pm. Rehearsal is on Thursday night, October 11. Make sure your talented student is signed up by this Friday, October 5th. Forms and fees ($3 per student) should be turned into the school office.

Get Excited ( and Volunteer ) for Pumpkin Fest!
Friday, October 26th from 5:30-8:00pm, one of the most anticipated and exciting PTA run fundraisers will happen again at Ben Franklin- Pumpkin Fest!!! The night will bring bounce houses, obstacle courses, face painting, games, raffles, prizes, bingo, cakewalk and more!
Purchase your wristband in advance for a pre-order savings of $5 and 2 for $1 raffle tickets. Advance meal tickets are also available. All tickets can be purchased on PTA Webstore.
This event cannot run without VOLUNTEER !! Please volunteer for a time slot to help with games, concessions, admissions, etc. here
We are also in need of Raffle Prize donations and cake walk prizes (cake, cupcakes or cookies) from Ben Franklin families. Sign up for raffle prize donations here and cake walk donations here.

Winter Outerwear Drive
As the temperatures begin to drop, please consider donating your gently used or new winter outerwear to D41 families in need. We will be collecting outerwear before and after school the week of Oct. 15-19th. A donation bin will also be located by the front office.
We are able to accept the following outerwear in sizes pre-K through 8th grade/young adult :
- warm winter coats
- snow boots
- snow pants
- waterproof gloves
- winter hats (new only)

Class Party Volunteer Spots Still Needing Filled
There are still volunteer openings to help this year in Class Parties (Halloween, Holiday and Valentines Day). If you or a family member would like to help at an additional party, please sign up through memberhub.

Halloween Costume Donations Needed
Halloween will be here soon! If you have any costumes that your children have outgrown please consider donating them to Community Outreach and the Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center. New or gently used, non-violent costumes are always needed for District 41's children in grades K-8. There will be a collection box outside of our school's front office October 1-5th. Contact Becky Parke with any questions.
