B31 Business Day Out Young Professionals Network Business Excellence Awards BisNet Breakfast b2b
Good Afternoon <<First Name>>,

What a star studded BisNet Breakfast we had yesterday! A big thank you to Lachlan McKenzie and the team at the Ballarat Turf Club for putting on such a fantastic morning showcasing our racing industry. We were joined by Archie Alexander from Alexander Racing, Terry Henderson from OTI Racing, Michelle Payne, Darren Weir Racing & Matt Cumani from Cumani Racing.

The racing industry in one of the fastest growing industries in our city in fact did you know the Ballarat Turf Club is the fastest growing Training Centre in Australia, with an economic impact of $59.9million and providing 600+ FTE jobs. Ballarat has welcomed 9 new trainers over the past 4 years.

There are many more opportunities in the future including the current application for 50% funding for the $10mil Synthetic Track installation. This track will be critical for the continued growth of the Training Centre, an Independent Study (IER) states that an additional 200 horses in training in Ballarat would generate an additional $6.4mil of economic impact to the local economy and an additional 69 FTE direct jobs.

Commerce Ballarat appeals to all levels of government to get behind the Ballarat Turf Club and assist them to continue the growth we have seen in recent years.

Next week we host one of two Customer Service workshops, we have been overwhelmed with the response! If you have missed out this time we will be looking to run further sessions early in 2019.
