Lecture / Vortrag Claus Morgenstern & Per Schorn: „Into the South“
Lecture
As a professional photographer, you often have the problem that the free photo spreads you want to realize
always a little too short. Sometimes you just do not have time because too many jobs are pending and you move
you keep coming back, sometimes you have no nerves because other things seem to be more important.
Therefore, Claus Morgenstern and Per Schorn decided in 2014 to realize a great deal of free work in which nothing like this could come in between.
They flew to the southern states of the US for five weeks and spent one week each in another small town.
The planning of the motifs was adapted to the local circumstances.
From finding a location to casting people and local approvals, everything had to be done within a week before going to the next town.
The result is funny portraits in Hattiesburg, impressive aerial photography in Panama City, bizarre experiences in Dothan, photographs of an athlete in Tuscaloosa and a great friendship between
Claus and Per.
