NARRATIVES DUE THROUGH GETINVOLVED BY
MONDAY, OCTOBER 8 @ 5:00 PM

The Fraternal Excellence Program is an effort by the University of Houston Fraternity and Sorority Community to integrate the core principles of fraternity/sorority membership into our campus‐based awards and assessment program.
Chapters can find all important FEP documentation at
http://www.uh.edu/cfsl/current-members/fraternal-excellence-program/

Tips for FEP Success:
  1. Start with the guides. Using the guides as a self-assessment tool before you begin crafting responses can help you to answer the questions more authentically AND can assist the chapter in identifying areas of opportunity.

  2. The Fraternal Excellence Program is about progress, not perfection. Be sure to share your accomplishments and any progress you've made while communicating your plans to reach your goals if you're still falling short.

  3. Engage your chapter advisor, your faculty/staff advisor, and/or your chapter coach in providing meaningful feedback about your responses.

  4. Proofread your submissions for correct grammar, sentence structure, and correct spelling and punctuation. Share your drafts with other chapter members. Having multiple eyes on one draft can help to ensure it accurately communicates your successes and challenges in that area.

SATURDAY, October 6th!
At this FREE retreat we will provide a comprehensive strength-based learning experience for student leaders of Registered Student Organizations.  The retreat will give them insight to their personal strengths and talents, and we hope to show them how to apply them in personal and professional environments.
Students leaders who attend will receive:
· A free CliftonStrengths access code prior to the retreat
· Breakfast & Lunch
· Retreat Materials

CliftonStrengths can give students the resources, techniques and inspiration to thrive in school and in life after college.  From deciding how to get involved on campus, to leading a student organization, to determining their career path, students can use their results to aid them in choices that consider their natural talents.

Registration is open now for students at the following link:

CFSL AMBASSADORS

The Ambassadors would like to thank everyone for coming out and making Greek-A-Palooza a successful event.  We had more than 300 students from the UH community attend and learn a little bit more about the Fraternity and Sorority experience.  Way to go!

National Hazing Prevention week was a success! Thank you for supporting our initiative to #ClawOutHazing. National Hazing Prevention week is a time to educate each other and be vocal about what we want to see in our community.  Although it is not just a Fraternity and Sorority issue, we want to thank the UH FSL community for taking the initiative, and being heard during this year's week.

Stay tuned for events and programs from the Ambassadors!
