Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness. How do you know this is the experience you need? Because this is the experience you are having at the moment.

Hi all, happy Sunday. Hope you all had a great weekend.
I had a soul-filling weekend with two friends who came down from the city to visit me in New Jersey.
We had a home cooked meal together--I made chicken parmigiana, we chatted by the fireplace (it wasn’t quite cold enough for a fire but we opted for ambience over practicality) and we eventually ventured out for some dancing.
I’m always reminded after visits like this just how much having the space to truly feel seen and heard with friends that really care about you and GET you, how much I NEED that connection to fill my energy-coffers.
Building a business is hard and lonely at times (okay most of the time). But one of THE ways to stay motivated is to surround yourself with people who believe in you, especially for those times when you need extra reminders for yourself.
Who is this for you?
I leave you with that question for reflection. And I hope you enjoy this week’s edition filled with fresh reads, links you may have missed and tools to guide and inspire you in your business-building week ahead.
Warmly,
Alison

REAL-TALK FROM FOUNDERS IN THE TRENCHES
"For now, our growth is fueled by revenue. It certainly hasn't been easy, but having limited resources has definitely forced me to get really creative with marketing and collaboration. I think ultimately it’s been an advantage. I don't know if some of our successful collaborations would have come about if I had a lot of money to throw at a problem or an idea."

TOOL FOR GROWTH
Art & Fear Book
|
|
One of the best books we’ve read that has informed our approach to entrepreneurship is Art & Fear. Replace the word art with life or business, any pursuit, really, and the wisdom in here is applicable. Embracing all that comes with the creative process--the fears, the resistance, the discomfort--is just as much THE work as what you're setting out to build.
