Standards:  2.1.1
We will be starting our unit on Pre-Columbian America and Explorers.  Students will have a project this week that will be due 10/8/2018. I am providing posterboards for the students inshallah.  The rubric can be found of the 5th grade website inshallah.
Standards: 6.EE.2, 6.EE.1, 6.NS.3, 6.NS.2

Students will be tested on Section 2 on Tuesday 10/2. Then they will work on lessons 21 through 23 in the Saxon Math Course 1 textbook throughout the week. 

 
Students are working on Lesson 2 (Fun trip).They're working on reading the story and learning new grammars. 
-  All students received their Spelling H.W sheets. It will be due on Monday. 
- Spelling test and Reading log sheets are both due on Monday Insha'allah.
- The monthly project will be due on Wednesday, October 31st. 
Group: 1
- Students are reviewing the rules of .نْ and Tanween.
- Students will learn etiquette towards Quran.
- Each student H.W. will be written at his/her planner.
-Recitation surah Al-Baqarah page7.
 
Group: 2
- Students are working on Al-Qaida An-Nuraniyyah lesson    lesson 8-9
- Each student H.W.of memorization will be written at his/her planner.
- Practice lesson 6-7 .
 
Standards: RI.5.1, RI.5.2, RI.5.9, W.5.3-W.5.5, L.5.1, L.5.2, L.5.4

This week, we will begin a new set of vocab words and a new set of IXL modules. We will read the story "Double Dutch" from our Journeys book and practice using common and proper nouns. We will also dedicate some time in-class to rewriting the first drafts of students' personal narratives. Please see the Language Arts homework section of the 5th-grade website for detailed information about homework and upcoming due dates.
Standard: ESS1-1 and ESS1-2

This week students will finish talking about how the night ski moves as the Earth moves through space. We will begin to talk about how shadows grow and shrink due to the placement of the sun in the ski.

 
Ch 3: The Special Names of Allah SWT. Students will continue this lesson to learn about the belief in the attributes of Allah and how it should reflect on our lives.
Please continue to emphasize to your children to apply what they learned about being kind to each other.

Students will be working on Word processing.
