Alok Vaid-Menon: Femme in Public

On Thursday, October 25th from 5:30–7:30pm, head over to Cabrillo College's Horticulture building (room 5005) for a two hour performance by Alok Vaid-Menon about gender, colonialism, and the daily struggles and triumphs of nonbinary femmes in America. Poetry, stand-up comedy, drag, and more, sponsored by the Cabrillo Office of Student Equity.

Mi Casa es Tu Casa is Pajaro Valley Arts' (PVA) free annual exhibit inspired by Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a traditional holiday in Mexico that celebrates the ancestors. Enjoy performances by Senderos, featuring dancers and musicians from Oaxaca, and workshops for making La Catrina figurines and altars. The opening reception is Sunday, October 28th from 2–4pm, and the exhibit will remain open from October 24th–December 9th, Wednesday–Sunday 11–4pm.
