Are you a newcomer to Canada who has struggled with language and/or cultural barriers when accessing Canada’s healthcare system?

 

Help change how the health care system interacts with immigrants and refugees -- participate in a theatre workshop. 


The Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry is currently seeking people to participate in a theatre workshop event to help improve physicians’ and other healthcare workers’ approach to caring for immigrants and refugees – with the desire to improve experiences navigating the healthcare system.
 
You will be compensated $300 for your participation.
 
Workshop/rehearsal dates:
Oct. 28 10 am – 6 pm
Nov. 2 5:30 pm – 10 pm
Nov. 3 10 am – 6 pm
Nov. 4 10 am – 6 pm
Nov. 5 12 pm – 8 pm (includes performance event)
 
Please note: to participate you must commit to all rehearsals.

How to Change the World is an experiential professional education programme designed to equip you with the skills, tools, and understanding needed to develop innovative and robust solutions to our global societies’ grand challenges.
