WiO Receives Honorable Mention for OSA Award!

The College of Optical Science's Women in Optics organization was selected as honorable mention for the OSA Diversity & Inclusion Advocacy Recognition for our "hard work and dedication to diversity and inclusion within the community".  The top honors celebrated the work of Arlene Maclin, Frederique Vanholsbeeck, Ling-An Wu, and the Okinawa Institute of Science & Technology, who were recognized at the 2018 Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science Conference.  Check out the videos here to learn more about the inspiring work done by the honorees!

Careers in Tech: Exploring Data Centers with Facebook, Google, and Microsoft

The data center section is young, pioneering, and growing quickly.  In this invitational, interactive Tech Talk, hear from women leaders in the data center sector at Facebook, Google, and Microsoft - and why they want you to consider a career in tech.  This panel of leaders from the technology industry will encourage women and other underrepresented groups to consider the opportunities available, discuss their growth and success stories, and answer attendees' questions.
