The Buddhist spiritual path could be summed up as an analysis of how the mind functions to create suffering and happiness, together with the methods and techniques we need to practice in order to eliminate suffering and create happiness for ourselves and others. In this module of the Foundation of Buddhist Thought you will explore the detailed explanations of the nature of the mind, positive and negative ‘mental factors’ such as love and compassion, concentration, wisdom, attachment, aversion and ignorance, and the Buddhist theory of knowledge or Valid Cognition.
