Please Register to Vote

Tomorrow is National Voter Registration Day and if you're an American, Tye (pictured above) hates to tell you but the U.S. trails most developed countries in voter turnout. And this year it's more important than ever to take action. Please make sure you're registered to vote, find out where and how to vote on November 6th, and help other humans do the same. It would make Tye very happy.

New York Times bestselling author Carrie Vaughn has written some brilliant stuff over the years, but her current novel series is really something else. The first book, Bannerless, won the Philip K. Dick Award this spring; book two, The Wild Dead, came out this July and is a worthy successor. (For a taste of the post-apocalyptic setting, read her marvelous short story "Amaryllis," which takes place in the same world some years later.)
