Vidabeth Bensen Screen Printing Workshops and 2019 Calendar

Vidabeth Bensen will conduct a T-Shirt printing workshop for residents of Galloway Ridge on October 9 and 16. And in early November Vidabeth will attend the NC Art Education Association annual convention in Asheville NC.  In addition to displaying her prints, Vidabeth will demonstrate Screen Printing to the art teachers in attendance.

Vidabeth was a high school art teacher in New York and at an American High School in Japan. Her workshops for art teachers emphasize the simplistic methods she has devised during her years of teaching Screen Printing to all ages. From elementary students to senior citizens, Screen Printing is an enjoyable medium that can be used to make multiples of original art work. Her workshops at the University of Connecticut every summer enable teachers of all grades and subjects to use Screen Printing as an enrichment tool for all aspects of the curriculum.

The Year of the Boar 2019 is Vidabeth Bensen’s 47th annual calendar. This year she has two to offer, including a series of recent colorful and abstract prints and black and white sketches and prints from her days overseas.   To purchase a calendar contact Vidabeth at Vidabeth@embarqmail.com

Strengthen & Celebrate a Creative NC - Join Arts NC!
Individuals and arts organizations are invited to join Arts North Carolina (Arts NC), North Carolina’s statewide advocacy organization for the arts and arts education. ArtsNC champions the most critical issues for the arts community each year, working to develop strong relationships with our legislators, enhancing their understanding of the value of the contribution of the arts in North Carolina, and advocating for investments in the arts and arts education.

ArtsNC's "$1 for the Arts" campaign funds grants that reach all 100 counties, providing access to the arts for 10 million North Carolinians! Every North Carolinian is impacted in some way by this direct and inclusive investment in the nonprofit arts community by our state government. Learn more about "$1 for the Arts" by visiting 1-for-the-arts.

Individuals can also buy an Arts License Plate! It’s an easy way to support our creative state and show your support for the arts every day. For every $30 sale, $20 goes directly to Arts NC’s advocacy to bring arts programs to your schools and community, and $10 goes to funding the state wildflower and visitors center accessibility programs.
