Pears are looking perfect from Little Wing Farm (CC), spice up your life with beautiful habeneros from Alvarez Organic (all), enjoy tart and delicious quince from Mair Farm Taki (UD), squash season has begun at Farmhouse Organics (Phinnney), and spinach and lettuce will make for a wonderful fall salad from River Run Farm (UD, WS).

Heirloom Tomato and Plum Salad

Get those summer flavors while you can!
 


Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
Salt and pepper
2 pounds heirloom tomatoes
1 pound plums
8 fresh shiso leaves
1/2 persimmon (optional)
2 tablespoons purslane or thyme
