It is with great pride that the Diversity Center announces that our very own 60Plus Senior Program Committee has been awarded a 2018 Be the Difference Award!

This annual event, sponsored by the Volunteer Center, selects only 5 recipients of this award from over 50 nominees. Collectively, the committee, consisting of Bev Bishop-York, Doug Urbanus, Francis Garcia, Joe Eugene, Larry Friedman, Tom Ellison, Anne Forsberg, Marc Zammit, Colleen O'Connell-Northcutt, Steve Trujillo, David Crain, and Bob Pitman, have given over 5000 volunteer hours since the program's inception 15 years ago.

Their dedication and commitment has not only helped the 60Plus Senior Program grow and flourish, but also ensures that the increasing needs of our community's LGBTQ+ seniors continue to be addressed and remain visible.
