REAL ID DEADLINE IS OCT 10TH - EXTENSIONS ISSUED FOR SOME
The Department of Homeland Security has issued a few new extensions for REAL ID enforcement, allowing Federal agencies to accept driver's licenses and identification cards from at Federal facilities, nuclear power plants and federally regulated commercial aircraft.

Here is a summary of the current extensions for the 15 states and 4 US Territories that are still not REAL ID compliant:
October 10, 2018 California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Virginia, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands
March 1, 2019 Minnesota
May 1, 2019 Rhode Island
June 1, 2019 Alaska, Illinois, Montana, Northern Mariana Islands
August 1, 2019 Kentucky, Missouri, Pennsylvania
October 10, 2019 Maine, Oklahoma, Oregon, American Samoa

AMERICAN AIRLINES INCREASES BAG FEES BY $5
Beginning Sept. 21st, American Airlines will be charging $30 for the first checked bag for domestic flights as well as Canadian flights. The announcement comes after JetBlue, United and Delta all announced price hikes for checked bags. More
