I was in Kelowna, BC for the Women's Enterprise Centre Board meeting earlier this month and met with female leaders in technology. Once again, I heard about the persistent challenges that women CEOs in technology still face while raising capital and building their businesses. I've also been speaking with investors in the US - Washington state in particular - and there continues to be a lot of optimism about, support for, and interest in Pique's investment strategy, focusing on impact-based ventures and investing in leadership diversity.

Beanworks Raises $10M, Champions Gender Diversity
Pique Fund first invested in Beanworks in 2015. We backed CEO Catherine Dahl's leadership in the tech industry and her commitment to having at least 50% women within her company. Beanworks is an accounting workflow automation company. In an industry where disproportionately more women are impacted by accounting automation, yet most roles making decisions about technology are occupied by men, Pique is proud to participate in Beanworks' most recent investment round.
