RenoCross held at the same location as US nationals last year fell this year mid week on a Wednesday night. Michael van den Ham and Benjamin Gomez Villafane made the trek to this high desert and turned in a great result with van den Ham finishing 4th. The week finished at Waterloo WI, the land of farm fields, cheese curds, and world cup racing, starting off Friday with a C2, Saturday category racing, and Sunday the first World Cup of the year.

OUR ATHLETE'S TAKE

"Came in a little sick to the race and just about didn't start, but after struggling at the back of the lead group for a few laps I managed to come around in the end for 4th. All things considered, I can't complain about that!"

  -  Michael van den Ham on RenoCross

"Waterloo was the first race of the season with major European competition. The technically challenging course was a drastic change from the early season US races. While the Euros swept the top 10, I was happy to finish 13th on Friday's C2."
-  Jack Kisseberth on Waterloo
