Get Involved: Global Partner Studio (GPS) Institute, Oct. 1-5

Hello sophomore LLC students,

I want to bring an exciting event to your attention. Next week, the ELN will be hosting the Global Partner Studio Institute, a conference that will provide opportunities for you to meet some of UB's global partners and share your voice in developing experiential learning opportunities that you and other students can benefit from. The specific events you are encouraged to take part in are listed in the description below. I hope to see some of you at these events!

Best,

Christina Heath
Administrative Director
Experiential Learning Network
The Experiential Learning Network is excited to announce that the inaugural Global Partner Studio Institute is less than a week away! Don’t miss the opportunity to meet with our partners from Tanzania, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Jamaica, and explore opportunities for research, project-based learning and travel. Join us at events scheduled throughout the week of Oct. 1-5 to learn about exciting ways to develop and work on projects with global impacts.

Our most exciting events for students are the presentations from our partners and the studio sessions, listed below. You’ll hear about the work in their communities and possibilities for project-based learning around shared areas of interest. You are invited to attend these events and share your unique voices while we explore opportunities for collaboration around the themes of health, social innovation, STEM education and more!

We hope you'll join us for this amazing week of collaboration that will transform some of UB’s global partnerships into new experiential learning opportunities. See the list below for the Institute schedule, and please RSVP to events you plan to attend using the button below.
  1. Partner Presentations*: Monday Oct. 1, 3 p.m., in 145 Student Union. Come to the opening session of the Institute and hear directly from partners who will discuss the needs in their communities and ways for UB students and faculty to get involved in future collaborations related to health, social innovation and STEM education.
  2. Meet our Partners*: Monday, Oct. 1, 5 p.m., in 145 Student Union. Learn about our guests and explore their backgrounds and areas of focus at the opening reception.

  4. Closing Reception*: Friday, Oct. 5, 4:30 p.m., in Silverman Library's 3rd Floor Atrium. Join us for a celebration of the emerging ideas for engagement and collaboration and help us wish our global partners farewell.
