Upon arriving in Japan, they visited Hiroshima and studied the effects of its atomic bombing, and even talked with a survivor. Then they visited a Kobe Y Camp Yoshima on a tiny island in the Seto Inland Sea. Then they went to Kobe, stayed with host families, participated in Kobe Y preschool activities and visited Kyoto to view historical sites.
