Author Talk: Jabeen Akhtar Wednesday, October 24 | 7 pm Jabeen Akhtar is the author of the novel Welcome to Americastan, a finalist in the 15th Annual Library of Virginia Literary Awards, and is a frequent contributor to the LA Review of Books. In 2018, she was featured in PEN America's The M Word Stories. Come listen to her discuss her writing and the theme of her recent work, which focuses on the myth of the exceptional immigrant.
