Starting Off Right

To kickoff this school year we had the pleasure of having our state directors from the Cleveland area conduct our training September 15th. In addition to Mark and Kathy Horner, retired local director, Patricia Beatty, trained us with 46 years of experience behind her.
Training had something for everyone from our fifteen-year veterans to volunteers in our two new clubs. Topics included The Message of Salvation: Child Size, Guiding a Child to the Savior, Club Management and Discipline, Life-changing Evangelistic Bible Lessons and Music with a Message. Kathy and Patricia gave a curriculum overview for first series of the year on the life of David entitled, "God: The One Who Knows My Heart."

Lesson 4 - You can trust God's plan
Lesson 5 - God shows His kindness by making a way for you to become His child
Lesson 6 - You can look forward to when Jesus makes all things new
Meet Our Volunteers

Debbie Creath is leader of the Sharonville Elementary School club this year and replaces Pastor Casey Southerland.
Debbie grew up in a Stony Brook, New York and was familiar with CEF through her mom who knew many ladies involved in the ministry. She learned more about Good News Clubs at Gordon College where her friend worked in a club. Last year she volunteered in Sharonville when she had a little more time and heard the club needed another worker. She is a teacher by profession, loves children and her biggest blessing of CEF is being able to share the Bible with children and have the opportunity to see the Lord work in a public school setting. She's also encouraged by watching the children remember Bible accounts they were taught.
