Older People's week

Once again we will be celebrating UK Older People's Week in Redbridge, we hope to spread the message that age is no barrier to staying active and being involved in community life. Redbridge Libraries and the Sport and Physical Activity Team have organised a programme of events and activities taking place in venues in and around Redbridge until Sunday 7 October.

Black History Month

Redbridge Libraries are hosting a programme of events and activities for Black History Month. This national celebration aims to recognise Black contributions to society and to foster an understanding of Black history in general. We’ve lots going on throughout October so please come along, learn and celebrate!

Fabula Festival

Redbridge’s annual Fabula Festival is a unique week long celebration of the art of storytelling and its power to transform lives, running from Tuesday 9 to Sunday 14 October. It is delivered through a programme of performances, children’s events, author talks, films, writing programmes, workshops and specially commissioned arts projects.

Day of the Dead Festival

Redbridge Libraries invite you to a vibrant celebration of life & death in this free family friendly arts festival based on Mexican traditions. Join the carnival parade of giant Day of the Dead puppets, decorative costumes, dancers & musicians appearing in the library & high street. Come dressed to party & live the life you love on Saturday 20 October

Healthy Halloween Special

Come and join us at this free special Halloween event, perfect for the whole family! Come along to Wanstead Community Allotments on Wednesday 24 October for an afternoon of spooky storytelling and pumpkin carving (you can have a taste too!) Activities start from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Halloween Climb 'n' Slime

Come and try our high ropes and climbing course at Fairlop Waters during the October Half term! There will be a range of family friendly sessions from Monday 22 to Sunday 28 October and we will also be running a fancy dress party on the final Saturday... best dressed wins a prize! Get involved and book now.

October Half Term

It's almost half term holidays and there's plenty to do in Redbridge. If your child loves sport, we have a range of fantastic courses to choose from whether it's multi-sports, water sports or cycling. Looking for something creative to do? Redbridge In Bloom winners announced

The winners of this year's Redbridge in Bloom competition were announced in a ceremony at Valentines Mansion last Thursday. The winners and runner ups were presented with a certificate by Mayor Debbie Kaur-Thiara. The theme this year was A right Royal Wedding Garden in celebration of the marriage of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle, and the floral presentations did not disappoint. The judges certainly had a tough job picking the winners!
